version of Quicken if you have no desire to send invoices or
statements, create a payroll or generate formal financial reports.
The format of Quicken is similar to QuickBooks but designed for an
individual's use. I just trained a client that asked for both Quicken and
QuickBooks training. After working with her for an hour it became clear that all
she needed was the Home & Business version of Quicken. This allowed her most
importantly to only learn one software program, and will download her personal
and business checking and credit card accounts into Quicken.
If you do not need financials to show your banker or investors and are a very
small company, look at Quicken. It is a smaller and more intuitive package than
QuickBooks, but if you don't expect it to be a complete business financial
package you'll be happy.
